Well...the umpiring will be interesting. Know this is meaningless on an 'upcoming match' basis, ....but the 'trend' is interesting?!

Hawthorn have significantly less "Free's For" than us (256 vs 285). Hawthorn are on the bottom for this stat. Interestingly, The Slime are only 6 ahead of us. (....We are 11th and 10th respectively.)

On the "Frees Against" stat (and you got to think hard about the ranking on this one..), Hawthorn 283, and Freo are 296, ..so they are ranked 6th and us 10th. No guesses for who has ranked 1st, with the least number of free kicks paid against them. (...the buggers have had 252 against....!)

Whilst we are on Stats...Freo is still the worst tackling team in the comp (1019)...some 200 behind the leaders (WB). Hawthorn are the 5th best (1143). Not really sure what this indicates, and it has been well discussed on DL before now, but I am not sure bottom is really where we want to be???

Whilst I am at it, does anyone know where one can find this much vaunted "meters gained" stat. ??? Be jiggered if I can find it anywahere....

I'm not sure exactly what it means either?? ....and I'm not sure I want such an Americanism in our game anyway.??

Who, how and what is measured, is of interest to me though. IF anyone has these answers I'd appreciate it.

As long as he pinches O'Meara's crutches, he should have him covered for pace, and he won't need to rush for the Melbourne plane, could probably get a game in against the Hawks before he boards the redeye.

No fears, NONE - we're better than them.

Umpires: what haven't we dealt with, who cares.
Game plan: we've won without one, no reason why we can't Saturday night.
Forwards: whaddya mean, we've got Cam back and Kersten's still in the side. Then there's Mikey, Mundy, Fyfe, Ballas - that's 12 goals there. Add on Bradley with the right kicking boots and there's 15 on the board. Good enough to beat the Wee Poos, plenty good enough.

What do I hope for: Hodgey getting konked, can't help it after all these years. I don't buy into all this 'champion Grandpa' stuff. Sure good player, but the wrong team. I'll give him a clap when they take him off in the golf cart, but good riddance.

Prediction: Freo by 18 pts - too easy.
