We don't have one. The rest of the team held up pretty well but there is no forward line and if there was it has no structure. Was there 1 contested mark in the forward 50? I can't recal. A lot of intercept marks as the non existent forwards don't know where to go. If we can muster a forward line by next year we might go ok.

You don't want contested marks inside 50. You want about 8 uncontested - and not by each of the opposition's McChunky or Hurn-ish players.

Helps if forwards play inside the forward line. Ahead of the ball.

I say SACK the fwd coach. There seems to be a HUGE disconnect between what the forward line are doing and the midfield.

It would also help if we had a target up there.
We had NO ONE.

Yes two out and two in.
Tabs and CamMac in, Kersten and Ballas out. I don't think any other changes are required.
The lads 'butchered' delivery into the forward line on quite a few occasions. So that needs to be addressed.
I'd play Cox in the backline if Tabs and CamMac come in.

Until we find recruiting staff that can identify key forwards we will never win anything. Twenty plus years and twenty plus drafts and we are yet to draft a successful tall key forward. It's killing us.

I think our forward line would have gone alot better this year if Yarren didn't lose the plot, if we new he was gonna retire before the draft we could have picked up Liam Ryan.

Yeah but Pav was forced to play there because we had no one else (and did it well). We have needed a full forward from day one. Modra was the exception but he was a trade.

Pav did ok...just saying.

We did ok when we structured up properly forward of the ball....like successful teams do.

We do poorly when have a poor forward structure and s*** delivery. Thats where our current game plan is leading us to failure.

57 to 46 inside 50 entries and we lost by 30 points.

The coach needs to stop looking elsewhere for the problem because its inside the coaching box. He needs to adjust his game plan to allow forwards to remain forward to provide leads. He needs to play guys on merit not play favourites. If he can't adjust to the modern game, he needs to step down and let somebody else do his job
