Given the choice, would you play things conservatively and let Bennell get match fit for the rest of this year in the WAFL, and have a full preseason before unleashing him in round 1 of the AFL season next year? Or would you get him 3-4 WAFL games under the belt, and even if he's only about 80% match fit, get him into the senior side and play our last few games (probably as a permanent forward) to reward him for 2 years of hard work in the rehab room? I'm leaning towards the later option, even if there may be a higher risk of him breaking down, although I must admit to having selfish motivations behind it, as I cannot wait to see him wreck havoc in the AFL again...having said that, just stoked that he has managed to get through yesterday's game unscathed..
