I. Stephen Koops will probably always be my favourite indigenous player if only because he flew for 3 or 4 marks of the year attempts every week. He was also fantastic dashing off half back and I modeled a lot of my own game on him when rebounding and reading the play.
II. Kickett's passion and heart playing for Freo gets him second spot for me, never mind he was also incredibly talented and hard working. He'll be tough to top.
III. Roger is hard done by to be third but his movement and decision making was second to none in the AFL. If he got the footy, he always did the right thing with it and was near on impossible to stop or catch.
IV. The Wiz was incredible to watch and always an entertainer. He played with passion, skill and cunning unlike many that have graced the AFL before or since.
V. Son Son is chasing the Wiz down but has a long way to go still. By the end of his career he could go top of this list and that would be an incredible achievement at a club so well entrenched with indigenous talent.
