TOPIC: Only one solution....

Hamling perhaps not completely fit, and is too valuable medium and short term to risk worsening what ever he's got.
Sounds like Kennedy will come back in, and so we'll be combating the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum with Johnno (who, despite his best efforts, looks like he running in wet concrete ) and, well, ...who??
Nyhuis could go back to his preferred position, but how could one do that after his heroics?
Cox could go back, but he' s as big as Pav at 18 and clunks 'em, so leave him forward to sort things out
Collins got touches, but I' m afraid to say he's a bit slow.
So....there's only one solution...... we give 'The Fist' send off game in the derby.....

Sorry Cletus no way, Sam Collins must come in before Dawson, his form has been exceptional at WAFL level. This indicates to me he is a bloke with a very good attitude and will to succeed and Dawson takes us nowhere.

Only solution then, bring them both in. A bit of nostalgia.

Im glad to see Collins has been in good form DBTS. I reckon you are right...give the boy a go..why did we draft him if not?. As far as Im xoncerned no on should be playing if they arent part of the future....
And Corporal...I here what you say, and an 18 yr old playing CHB is a great thing for his development, and probably a better pathway if youve got the luxury to do it ( ie the Pav pathway ). Tabs is definitely an option, but I reckon we've got to see consecutive match dominance from him.

Was just putting it out there....and if Hamling didnt get injured, I guess I was going to ask Dockerland whether we give T. Fist a sendoff game anyway, and at what point... ??

If Kennedy doesn't play, and Darling is their lone spearhead, I'd put the Fist on him. Just tell him not to let Darling touch the ball.

I don't mind idea of a send off for some of the servants (later in the year). I think Dawson did a sterling job over the years for us. I think the only support you will get on here, for a Dawson send of would be to make sure he was really going.

Nyhuis will likely benefit from having a more specific task if he keeps playing forward and this coming week it'd probably be to keep McGovern accountable.

From all reports, JK still looked pretty lame walking around the boundary at the Port game.

Collins needs the famous Chris Connolly/Roger Hayden conversation prior to a derby.
Your playing on Phil Matera, he touches the ball and you will never play for this club again style.
2017 version with Kennedy/Darling

I think Lyon gets spooked easily, and Kennedy has towelled up Collins before.

I’d be tempted to pick Dawson to play on McGovern even if JK doesn’t play. The best marking hands versus the best fist in the business. I think a backline of The Fist, MJ and Logue would go ok on a wet day.

What I saw of Collins last year amongst a undermanned and inexperienced team ,he was one of the best contributors nearly every week .
With a game plan that was non existent and no one could understand ( if it did exist ) it is hard for a player to get confidence in a team getting done week after week . all our most experienced players weren't playing . I cant imagine how anyone could see any proper potential in players in those circumstances , yet he cant seem to get a real go . If ,
( like some have mentioned ) he is going to just be a fill-in when others are injured or wresting how is he going to have the confidence and experience to do so .
I feel for him , he seems to be out of favour . even though he has been playing well for Peel .

I don't think he gets spooked easily Morgan, I think he makes up his mind about a player relatively early and it takes a fair bit to change him. And sometimes I think he can't be changed. He's stubborn and inflexible.

I never understood why he didn't rate Silvagni, he clearly doesn't rate Suban and I have him well ahead of Sheridan or Sutcliffe. He rated Dawson and it took multiple 100 pt losses for him to change. And now its Collins he doesn't rate.

I hope he goes to Collins and not Dawson. And I hope he goes to Taberner and not Kersten. Put those two in and take a chance on Balic for Sheridan, and we're half a chance this Saturday.
