Both playing good footie for GWS. Ironical that both will play finals (I think they can hold their spots) and have a good chance of premiership medals. I hope so. They are both effort players, like Barlow who also was having a good season until he got his obligatory broken leg.

I think it's great that these two have managed to play a few games each. But the reality is neither are in GWS's best 22.

Nor will they play finals if their injured teammates get back. But until they do, it's terrific they're getting a game.

Mzungu, de Boer, Barlow and Silvagni have all played in 2017 which shows they are all up to AFL level.

On todays game from what I saw, the Gu might squeeze in to the GWS GF side. He was pretty sound. You almost never get your best 22 on to the park anyway so hes always a chance.

I've got a feeling The Pig might be a part of their plan, even though he's not in their "best" 22.

He gives them forward pressure, which they're otherwise short of, and pretty efficient link play, which helps brings their stars into the game. He also gives them a lot of game time, which helps their rotations.

Also, at only 27 he can be part of their medium-term planning , which is a bonus as their team matures and blokes like Steve Johnson drop away.

We'll see.
