I always enjoy your arguments Morgan, but a close reading on this topic is, "injuries and their management are pretty much in the hands of the Gods", and "its Clarke's fault". Now I reckon you can go with one or the other of these, but not both...

I'm not saying injury management is luck or the providence of the divine, just that it's an inexact science; meaning expecting consistently accurate timelines and no setbacks is unrealistic.

Perhaps we could expect more accurate timelines and fewer setbacks, but I've never seen the evidence that we are better or worse than other teams at this stuff.

If the rehab staff is inept, the safest course is not to injure yourself in your spare time. Hendrix couldn't even stay healthy listening to music, so I'm not sure you can pin his long-term absence on the fitness staff.

I was just reading how McKenzie from the Suns got a recall and will play his 100th game this weekend- after a bunch of injuries, including having his 'groin torn off the bone' (geez didn't know there was a bone in there) - when I checked out a table on the page.

Under 'Your Club's Slow Burner to 100 Games', The Fro pops up as ours - debuted in Rnd 13 2009 he was supposed to play his 100th almost 3 years earlier in Rnd 21 2006. Talk about unreasonable expectations, he's playing in reverse:

Q. ...Would Mckenzie be a 'pick up'?? Out of contract at the end of the year....things not going to plan where he is. Wouldn't mind a big left boot coming out of our backline.! He's only 25... And if he has any semblance of foot skills, he'd improve our backline kicking by about 150%....?

Morgan I don't think anybody is accusing our fitness staff of being inconsistent, it is the results that they consistently produce that I worry about. Good call on Mckenzie another Gold Coast player probably handled poorly that our fitness staff could get back on track.
