MR & CA, may I please add Jimmy Sewell to that list. His family were pioneering settlers just east of Gero. Big sheep farmers for several generations, and produced some pretty decent sportsmen &women as well!
Jim would have to qualify ....son of a sheep farmer, ...WA full back, decent Footscray utility, and one of East Freo's better products, I'd assume...

Yep, and you can add both the Cripps (Patrick and Jamie) and the Lockiers, Andrew and Tarkyn. All related. All family's associated with wool.
Harry Taylor spent time and Northampton, and Liam Anthony was up there as well.
All Gero products are forced to play for East Fremantle...poor buggers!
Steve Mcann escaped. Went straight to North Melbourne at 16, which was rare at the time. Taken straight from St Pats to North Melbourne, bypassed the WAFL.
