You sure don't want to rush a return from injury, yet it would be good to have him on the park before he's 70 and loses his hearing.
I had a mate with an old tractor. It was a beauty but he had it back of his sheds in a patch of willows - just needed a new float valve in the carburettor he said. I never saw the thing running, after a while he died. At his wake I mentioned it to his wife - she said Dave got the carby fixed years ago but just needed to fuel it up. He never got around to it.
Last winter I was headed out that way so I grabbed 5l of fresh diesel and paid a visit - after a bit of cranking it fired up like a true Massey beast. Beautiful - but the seat was rotten and both rear tyres were shot. It's still in the willows out back.
