He describes the loss to Geelong as 'demoralising'

Considering we started as rank outsiders with betting odds of over $10 to win the game I don't see how losing by two points could be described as demoralising.

I would describe the performance as morale boosting once the players have had a day or two to accept the result and start preparing for the next game.
