I fear this is the week when they get tough. Make a statement, throw someone to the wolves...for the good of the game. There will be outrage from the wise men in the west and it wont be about Schoyey and Clayton Oliver.
So back to freo as a scapegoat - you know the one we have all seen before..Fyfe, Wiz, Johnno, Sandi etc
I reckon son son may cop an over the top suspension for checking on Dangers sore back late in the game.
It was a little knee to his lower back in a stoppage and then he got set on by a group of cats and won the free kick..
look out! I hope I am wrong

How can that be a problem after Selwood's elbow to the back of Mitchell's head?

Now that you've highlighted it Demo, the MRP will scrutinised it. Not sure whether son son will be too happy with your suggestion, just saying.

If a jumper punch on a 'ball player' is a violent, sniping act that needs a suspension to rub that sort of behaviour out of the game, then dropping the knee on a prone Brownlow Medallist probably warrants a couple of weeks.

I look forward to RM explaining why he agrees with the suspension.

The MRP/AFL will do what it always does, which is look after the money. We should all understand the unspoken rule by now.
Walters was a bloody idiot to put himself in the line of fire by assaulting one of the AFLs untouchables.
If he gets banned, he only has himself to blame, and there won't be any reasonable grounds for supporters to go shouting about fairness or consistency.

I didnt like it Jezza but I hope he doesnt go..The force will hopefully be deemed less than required for a report but like I said the MRP are "due" to make a statement.
I love Micky Walters and he seems unfairly targeted by umps at times.
But he is better than that and was lucky to get a free kick out of it.
If it was against one of our star players I would have been pi**ed off

Walters isn't unfairly targeted by the umps. He's unfairly ignored.

Did anyone else see the free kick , payed to Touhy against Ballas , just as we kicked a goal? Thought it was a crucial point in game , as replay showed Touhy dived for a free , Ballas didnt touch him ( well he did a minute before)? Should have been reversed & goal awarded.

It was a behind, which would just have made the loss one point more annoying.

Pretty sure it was a goal.

Morgan, my argument has always been that Freo cop the heavy hand of the MRP, and everyone else gets off on insufficient force. I don't think Mikey was very clever, I agree, but we see him kicked in the head, belted in the head, ridden into the ground, week after week with hardly free kick paid. I'm not surprised he reacted the way he did and if you go back through my posts I have said that this will happen one day and he will cop weeks for it. Just watch though because he will cop well over the odds while the love children of the MRP get off with fines.

I blame Bond. It was always going to happen bringing the Hobbit back for his first game against the Cats...
