So we lost today, but apart from bringing Sandi and Fyfe back the only way forward is to play the kids which includes Deluca, Darcy, Logue, Ryan, Cox, Grey, Weller, Blakely, Tucker and I would also include Hughes in this list.
That leaves the obvious ones such as Walters, Hill brothers, Neale, Spurr and Mundy to get a game weekly.
So to me there is still 3-6 positions up for grabs including the key forward posts but no matter the end position this year on the ladder, the way to our 1st flag is playing the kids who have so much enthusiasm with just enough senior support.

As of Rd 14 after 13 games, Freo have debuted 6 players. To put this in perspective, Carlton and North Melb have also debuted 6. Next best is Port Adelaide with 4. Now add to that 4 players from other clubs that have debuted for Freo, it takes the total to 10, making Fremantle the only club in the AFL that have debuted the most players in 2017. That's nearly half of the 22 that runs out most weeks. To be 6W and 7L, with 9 games left, Roly and his coaching staff have done extremely well to rebuild Freo. Surely it won't take till 2020 for Freo to be playing in another GF and winning it.

I reckon Hamling has been great all year. I'd go as far to say recruit of the year for the competition.....be interested to know other contenders....I know most will say B Hill, but his performance has sort of been expected....Hamling's gone above and beyond expectation I reckon....

Yup was a great effort, Hughes in Spurr out. It's time for McCarthy and or Kerstin to have a rest as well. Maybe try Logue and Tabs in the fwd line and put Cox in the backline. Got to get out fwd line functioning

Just about time to release Weller as well I reckon. Either into the midfield or at least one line further forward. His plays in last quarter show so much dash and vision and good delivery. Our problem last year was getting it out of the backline and back 50 turnovers, I think our issue now is delivery and options going in to the forward line. So get him further forward.

Touhy has been a great pick up for Geelong, Cletus. Wish we had backmen who could kick those long bomb goals coming down from half back.

I reckon will be looking for a place to hide at the review.
Last Qtr, He flew for a mark that he was 100/1 to take and his man stayed down at the back and strolled into an open goal.
Parsons got them back in it in the last qtr with two easy goals.
It was unlike Spurr and goes against all the team rules..but he has lots of credits in the Bank and is a leader.

Kids - watch Spurr closely he often flys for a mark or tries to tackle someone falls over or falls down and is out of the contest, like I said has been a good player but to win a flag gotta have a great starting 22.

I am really happy to see the young players get a go at it. This is what the rest of the season has to be about, seeing who can take the club forward over the next five years, Ross even eluded to it in his presser yesterday. Currently it looks like there could only be one other young (available) player whom may debut this season, Nyhuis. I reckon the future looks good, almost all the guys who have debuted this year look to have a future in the team. I also hope Bennell can stay fit once available and show what he can offer the team.

It looks like there will be another clean out at the end of the season and it include too many of the young guys you would think.
