We've got enough players on the long term injury list for him to be upgraded so let's hope he gets a run.

Deluca in for Tucker? They don't seem to want to drop Sutcliffe and not sure if they'd send Sheridan back after one game.

Deluca had a game high 9 tackles on the weekend and 7 tackles the week before that.. Tackling seems to be one of his strengths just going by the stats

Well...I've found something to appease Gerard Healy...and this thread was discussing the topic....
According to the AwFL stats site we are now 18th for average tackles /match. Dead Last! whilst our 'total tackles' are not the worst, our average is.
There's a bit of discussion about the value of tackle count...and well...some of it I agree with. One of the reasons Gerard could bang on about how good Mayney was as a player, was because Mayney was always 2nd to the ball.!!

But, given the way we are playing, I think I'd like the team that I support to be great at tackling. Surely it is something we could work on.??
So.... - Im not so sure Ballas and Suban are our answers Polly? - but yep, bring in some players prepared to tackle...or at least demand that the current ones do....

One of the real interesting stats is that, apparently, we are 3rd best for centre clearances!! This surprises me, because the commentators - particularly Gerard - continually tell us that we are crap for clearances, particularly given the advantage that 211 gives us.
(Incidentally, even though 211 has not played for 4 games, we are Numero Uno for ruck hitouts!! What a great testament to Sandi that is...)
Even if the teams having the bye have their average CC's this week, we are still reasonably placed on this stat.
The other surprising stat, is that our disposal efficiency is 'middle of the pack' -73.7% (range 75% -71% over all teams). Real surprising !??!!
So if our centre clearances are good, and our disposal efficiency is decent, then WTF am I watching each week???!!!

Obviously, our forwards/forward play is simply crap, and RoLy is wrong to dish out on our midfield, like he did...!!

All points to the inadequacy of the current "alleged" gameplan.....
