I feel that if I can be relied upon for anything, it's word count.

I'm not sure I support the AHA's policy to serve children mid-strength beer. In fact, starting kids off on Carlton Mid would probably persuade most that drinking was a waste of time and money, which would be bad business.

How can we make more money selling beer to the masses?
Water it down, so they can drink twice as much.
Double the consumption, means double the profits.
Most won't get drunk, so less alcohol related problems.
It's a win, win situation.

What about the mugs we are ripping off?
Well, if they are dumb enough to double their consumption in the hope of getting pissed. So be it.

So can someone explain to me why it is OK to have "Full Strength" cans of Whiskey at the Footy but not Full Beer?

I enjoy getting up at Half time and going for a beer that tastes good, we should be able to have a drink at the game that we enjoy.

As for crowd behaviour, my observations at the Kiddies matches on Saturday / Sunday mornings is that you don't have to be Goon Drunk to carry on like a knob and let go in front of Kiddies.... just saying.

I think the premix spirits are mid strength too. No-one has ever complained about the taste because if you're ordering premix run and cokes, you've probably been born without tastebuds.

In a land far far away I remember enduring a Neil Diamond concert drinking nothing but full strength Samuel Adams. If I had to drink mid strength anything I reckon I'd have to slash my wrists. So full strength beer can have a positive outcomes. So come on Marky babe endorse the serving of full strength beer at Stadium Dockers and you'll sleep so much better.

The vodka and scotch premix is full strength the bourbon and rum are mid strength. Obviously Russians and scots hold their drink better than yanks and Queenslanders.

I don't drink the beer at the footy as Carlton mid and Carlton Draught taste horrible but it is stupid you can buy full strength spirits albeit $12.50 for 375ml but not full strength beer. The wine is of course also full strength but served in a smaller cup.

I hope we are given choice at the new stadium and if a small minority act like idiots they get banned. I don't see why I can't drink decent tasting beer just because some galah gets tanked and acts up.

I have in 23 seasons seen the odd drunken idiot at the footy but always at night games and they have always preloaded.
