I made a blanket comment about people who left early on the basis it's direspectful to the team. The subtext, of course, was unless you had a good reason to
leave you're soft. If you're unwell, if you got a call from the hospital, or are allergic to full trains, then sure, leave early.

If I said 'people who speed are a disgrace' I'm not talking about people rushing their pregnant wife to the hospital.

Tiger either has a good reason to leave early, and therefore my comment doesn't apply and he/she is upset for no reason; or Tiger doesn't have a good reason to leave, and therefore is deeply hurt by the fact I think he/she is a bit soft for not sticking around.

I take exception to Hypen's post. and to the subsequent support it received.

Having been a passionate poster on Dockerland for 87 years, during which time I have supported Zac Dawson in bad times and even worse times, I feel I have the right to chime in whenever I choose to do so.

No-one knows my circumstances, and to be labelled "a person to whom exception should be taken" is extremely hurtful to me.

Hypen, is there something you'd like to say?

Me too. It doesn't really offend me that much when people have had enough and get up to go. It's better than blowing your stack and having a spack-out in front of everyone. Unfortunately another group of people here in town are renown for doing that - collectively they are the biggest pack of knobbers alive on this planet.

What does offend me is when our mob starts aping that mob - as if we didn't know better. It really bugs me when we get lumped into the same set of generalisations by media commentators - booing opposition players that get seriously injured, throwing pies/burgers at players, spitting at Aboriginal greats (Micky O) and especially booing Adam Goodes for being a proud Aboriginal hero. When that happened by our mob - even though it wasn't anywhere near as voracious as the Slime fans gave him - I walked out. It was the only time I walked out from a Freo game in shame.

So, yes - I you beauted Morgan's post as soon as it went up. Whatever the reason, it isn't good enough - we do not act like, nor adopt any type of behaviour that supporters of The Toilet perpetuate. Collectively we all wear it. As much as I appreciate the 'feelings' of others, you sit in your seat and tough it out - don't ask me to accept being tarred with the same brush.

Good on ya Morgan, rock on.
