It's all about integrity and values.

Does anyone think Sandi won't play against Collingwood? Because as awful as that loss was, Ross sent a pretty poor message to the rest of the team by resting him last night. It shouldn't have mattered to that extent though.

Taberner rucked well, and showed he can handle the second ruckman role. Blakely was good, their midfield got their 6 or 7 "held off the ball" frees, and got away with the "crow throw " all night. Even the commentators thought that was funny to watch. Don't discount how much easier wet weather footy is if you don't have to handball the ball to get it to a teammate.

Last weeks slog in the wet, 6 day break and a plane trip has taken a lot out of the legs of our players, and is probably the true reason why Sandi did not play. I for one agree with that decision. The Hill brothers were flat, sure, but S Hill was always going to be needing the run, and not the slog he got last week. They will both be a lot better with the extra day off, and hopefully a dry track.

For the first two minutes of the game we looked interested and there was intensity. Then the rain came down and the boys looked for umbrellas. It seemed they wanted to go back to the change rooms and wait until the rain stopped. Meanwhile Adelaide played on and kept pushing the ball into their forward line and could have been 10 goals in front by quarter time. Only a few of our boys can say they played a game of footy: Weller, Blakely, Hamling etc. While most of our team looked for shelter Adelaide played for the four points and got them very early in the game.

Sandi ran hard last week and kicked the ball once I think.

They arrived in Adelaide on the Friday when typically it would be the Thursday. That is why they play so crap over there. Its the prepatation.

I looked at the ladder and thought for a team that's on a 4 year rebuild, we shouldn't be in the 8. For many who thinks we're lucky to be there, I say bulltish. We travel every second week, played in 2 torrential conditions and one against a juggernaut. It's Rd 10 and teams below us would trade places at a drop of a hat. Put that game in the bin and move on.

Bogan Adelaide commentators aside, we are a young side doing a great job rebuilding itself into a premiership team.

Its been the most enjoyable season for me since the days of Farmer. But there is a swag of work to be done and I reckon its more the backline than the forward line that needs the work.

How is Alex Pearce coming along?

I knew we were in trouble when Roly at his Wednesdays presser warned about getting caught up in the weekly hyperbole.

Not feeling the least bit suicidal, and certainly not pissed off.

Sure we've had a few poundings (two of them before the Roly reno), but 6 - 4 is quite an achievement. Consider this:

Up until now we've played all but one of the other teams in the top half of the ladder, and only three of the nine in its bottom half. That's a pretty brutal assignment, as it turns out.

It does mean, though, that to complete our run against all other teams we will play only one top team and SIX bottom teams. Add to that the five teams we play twice (we've already played them all once, and beaten three of them) in the run home, and there's no logical reason why we shouldn't continue roughly as we have so far, maybe even a little better, given the overall performance of our opponents.

That means, conservatively, something like 5 - 7 wins, or 11 - 13 wins overall. No point in talking finals just yet (especially with our percentage), but if you'd have offered me that outcome pre-season, I'd have taken it in a flash.

The location of Sandis hamstring injury is normally a 3 to 4 week injury.Freo have kept very quiet about this.First hands on the footy would of not changed last night mauling but defently slowed the Crows momentum.
Adelaide Oval has produced two nightmare results this year.It quiet clear to all Adelaide opponent's if Slone touches the ball 40 times a game. They win and win quiet easily.

You can't just fob off games like that because of some spin about rebuilding they made up after they buggered up the 2016 pre-season. That was a good team on the ground, with a normal number of young players and plenty of seasoned veterans. They should have been able to, at the very least slow, Adelaide down at some point.

The were under prepared again. We may as well have not shown up.

No spin and rebuild BS. We've been competitive and won some very close ones. We could be sitting on 3 wins only.

We played a punishing game last week in similar conditions, 6 day break, away game, against a team that has smashed every opponent this year, and is unbeaten.

Even with Sandilands in there we wouldn't have gone within 10 goals of them.

If it was dry it could have been really embarrassing.

RDO's appear to be the nature of the beast every few weeks for all teams thus far this season .. we just happened to have ours against the top team at home so the score line wasn't over flattering .

She'll be right , just a bit flat and fatigued with no injuries so far as I know .. might need to crank up the sprinklers though at cockburn and practise grabbing that slippery ball those turnovers killed us .
