Last year a mate mentioned this kid to me - playing in the NEAFL up in Darwin, he is something special. I tuned into the games on NITV and it was pretty hard not to be stunned by his freakish moves and goal kicking. At some point, and Shane could probably dig the thread out of the archives, I had a bit of a rant about him - but no one picked him up in the draft (not sure if he nominated actually). On NITV's Wednesday night game this week he kicked another 5 goals (NT Thunder v GC Reserves).

His profile popped up on the AwFL site this morning, have a read:

Never seen Adam play so can’t comment on his skills. But know Daly River, the community where he is from, well – good place, nicely presented and open to all (i.e. no permits required), and best barra fishing in the country! Here’s a photo of the oval where he would have cut his teeth.

I caught the NEAFL game on Wednesday night - Sambono kicked another 5 goals against Southport. If there are any of you out in Melbourne with a free Saturday, Adam has flown out of Darwin and joined the AFL Allies for their game on the weekend.

I got a bit of a Sambono looking at those highlights. Could be massive upside because he may not be super professional like a lot of the AFL academy players. If he gets in an AFL program his speed and power might go through the roof.
