On the Perth Now clip, they show the Riewoldt shot for goal a couple of minutes from the end. In addition to the unashamed Eddie/Dwayne barracking that had been going on all through Q4, Eddie surpassed even himself when he told us that this was a sure thing and Jack will have been expert at kicking from that spot since the time he could stand up. Very satisfying for this viewer to see it sail through for a behind.
It was not an impartial commentary.

He was ok. As good as can reasonably be expected when you shoe-horn in a radio tradition into a television environment. They all seem to think that if they stop talking the powers-that-be might figure out that they don't need commentators so much. You know, because we can actually see what's happening.

Never forget Eddie saying how great it would be for the AFL for Carlton and Richmond to be doing well. He also said something about all WA games being on a Sunday...or words to that effect. We could go on but we are to gentlemanly.
He was also heard to cheer for the tigers in the last quarter.
Bugger them (and Basil), they know no better. And I kinda like the idea of having these meretricious twats around to really get me up and about on game day.

Ive been to a few Richmond games in Melbourne. Some of the Richmond supporters are nice and normal but on a bad night some of them make Collingwood supporters look like choir boys.

Comments like "we", the Riewoldt "kicked this goal since he was a kid" type garbage and the exaggerated tone of his voice at Tiger-related opportunities (particularly when compared to his commentary box counterparts) in the final quarter leaves little to doubt that he crossed the line. I want to like his commentary for the energy and his clear love of the game.... but moments like this just turn me against him.

Eddie didn't know our players and didn't say what a remarkable bit of play concerning several young guys but talked up several superheros of Richmond when they just took a basic grab and then turned the ball over after his rant of over the top Bias. At least he comments on the game happening not like Dermott Brereton who brings up Victorian
history, the hairdresser he uses, his favorite cereal and he would have compared Mundys goal yesterday to a goal he
scored back in the days in the mud, hail and flooded MCG.

Footy callers in this country think they're supposed to barrack for a side. So they do.

Given they're all from Victoria, they'll barrack for any Vic side.

Bazil and Dennis barrack for WC. Only Dennis tones it down a bit for the Vic audience.
