What is it with the delayed telecast of away games this year? I thought only home games were given a delay and all away games were broadcast live.

Anyway, it's a good excuse to go down to support your local who've been hit a bit by the downturn, enjoy a full strength beer and a decent burger for a change along with other Freo supporters, and take all that advertising revenue away from Channel 7 when the viewing numbers go down. It's the only way they'll learn.

I thought it was all part of the broadcasting deal between the networks, that 7 has the right to play local teams'away games live free to air., but that for some reason they're not doing it this year.

If that's not the case, who do I write/complain to?

The sad thing is that it will probably work for Foxtel, the amoral money grubbing b*stards. It's the same reason why Optus will probably profit from a similar jerk move with the Premier League, and why Michael Bay still keeps making Transformer movies which no matter how rubbish they become I still fork out money to see because I think to myself that surely this time he'll treat my childhood memories with more respect.

I'm house sitting at the moment and we've got Foxtel. I wouldn't pay for this tired, lazy, cookie cutter voyeutainment, masquerading as TV. Even for on time footy.

I'm pretty sure the real housewives of Potomac, Atlanta, New Jersey and Washington, are not real. Just a lot of mean, catty, rich b#tches that shows people everywhere are capable of being vile self centred, malcontents.

Midland is too good for all of them.

If you've got the app and use Telstra ( out in the bush it's your only option) then they will stream the game live to your device free of data charges. Then you can join in with the happy throng staring at their phones in public places. Just use some headphones FFS.

Was looking for a segue for an Alien Covenant review and this thread will do. I have been pinning my hopes on Ridley Scott for 40 yrs now on the back of two good seasons. But enough is enough.

You cant have both Fremantle and Ridley Scott in your life. Too much disappointment amongst the better days.

You can't blame Ridley Scott. After the last nonsensical festival of plot holes, if you went in with any expectations other than the possibility that your head might explode trying to comprehend how the plot to the movie seems a more realistic proposition than the actual movie being made and distributed into cinemas, then it's your own fault.

I bet you're one of those people who like complaining about Highlander 2. Look, you knew how the first one ended. You shouldn't have gone to see a sequel.
