I reckon D. Pearce bombing ball nice and high into our fwd 50 wouldn't be a bad outcome on Sunday. Now that we've got 3 talls in there, I reckon its a good strategy. Besides unlike the Eagles where they've got a couple of intercept kings, Richmond will do well rebounding out of defence. Our problem is scores from turnovers in the middle of the ground. Lets hope Pearce doesn't try and switch the play back infield. That goes for Sutcliffe, Ibbo and Langdon. Just play to your strengths boys.

I like this Myth of "3 talls" in our forward line.
McCarthy is 192cm, Same height as Mundy.
Kersten is 191cm. Shorter than both, by this logic we have had "3 tall forwards" every time Mundy has played down there!

I reckon Pearce deserves a second crack. Like most when they're banished to the twos, they've had a few weeks to work on their deficiencies. He's done that. He had a whale of a game last week in the WAFL playing inside mid. I reckon that'll be his role, releasing Sonson to the fwd line or vice versa. I reckon the selection committee got this one right.
As for the 3 talls, they're genuine forwards that can kick goals with enough supply.

Danny's the long kick we've missed since Stephen Hill went down. Compare him to Bradley? Pointless - The Yap is prepared to go off of either as necessary, but Danyellerin' only kicks off his left boot. He's great long kick off his left - problem is, every other footballer (from every other team) knows this.

I'm glad he's in for another shot - run all you want, but a long kick will get you there quicker. Let's see how he goes.
