What I liked about Brad Hill's game was that, in the first quarter he was having an absolute stinker - fumbles, turnovers, every kind of error - but kept working his backside off rather than letting his head drop and hiding for the rest of the game. The reward was turning it into an excellent performance and, almost certainly, some Brownlow votes (though Blakely would get my 3).

Weller kicking in provided a sense of calmness I haven't felt for some time watching our defensive half.
There is a lot to be excited about with no S. Hill, A. Pearce, H. Ballantyne or Bennell on the park. Add in the depth of Collins, ZacD, Griff, Suban, Sheridan and D. Pearce it does feel, you know, alrightish.
Some extended time for ZacC out of the game recuperating might be a good thing for him long term too.
Young boys coming on good too. Hey, you know what, stuff Poort, it was a good weekend.
