I thought we were the better team for the whole first quarter but luck didn't go our way. A quick kick out of the pack would skew across the field and always seem to land in the arms of an Essendon player. The second quarter was hard fought and 50:50, but we owned the second half. Essendon were lucky to be in the game at 3/4 time.

Imagine the scoring potential with Fyfe, Walters and now Mundy and Neale providing scoring options from the midfield.

No way first qtr they had more of the ball and were breaking clear from stoppages and getting plenty of rebound from half back, halfway thru the second qtr you could sense a change - dominated the second half

Was driving back from Geraldton so listened on the radio.

Was a little bit worried in the 2nd quarter but i think the writing was on the wall when they pulled it back to 2 goals that running over the top of them was going to happen.

By the sounds of the commentary Ibbo didn't have a great game again. Seems out of touch, could use a run with peel so surely collins is up for a run soon.

Stoked for taberner kicking 4. Good to hear he was servicable in the ruck, will really free johnno up big time. Sounds like it freed up McCarthy and Kersten to have more impact as well.

I know that Stephen Hill's clearance kicking has created a big hole since he's been injured, but I really missed Ballantyne today. Hayden up in the forward 50 would've created holy bloody havoc and those bleaters from Tullamarine would've never got the ball out of their back 50.

I've been calling for Ibbo's head, but I'm not so sure now. Apart from one outrageous blunder, I reckon he was ok, and seemed to make reasonably quick decisions. His kick into the forward 50 to one of our guys was quick and accurate. Keep him for now.

Ibbo did alright today. I wish he could take the game on but maybe he knows his limitations.

Still not convinced about Sutcliffe. His kicking is still suspect and plays a lock down role so doesn't use his run much which is meant to be one of his best assets.

There is a role down there for Crozier once Ballas is back. Johnson, Weller and Crozier would be 3 players with good kicks in the backline.
