Nice to have a win. But Its mixed because we smashed them in the free kick count, and as we have found out many times, its where you get them that counts and we got plenty in front of goals and at the right time.

Think everyones missed mentioning Lachie Neale's great game today. Thought he was pretty influential today, and whilst I was very happy about Mikeys return to form and Tabs showing some, I'm more excited about Lachie's solid showing.

The big question about Tabs is : can he back it up next week? If he does , we have progress!!

The most pleasing thing about Taberner's display is how well he is clunking his marks...no double grabs or spilling simple marks, just really solid, one-grab marks. Yes it's only one game, but hopefully it bodes well for the future..

And I know this was mentioned in the commentary, but Tabs also definitely looks like he's bulked up a bit over the summer, without losing too much of his running capacity...

I think the umps favoured us. Even when we were behind (and that was most of the game), I didn't feel quite my usual white hot level of outrage, which suggests that decisions were going in our favour. The 50m penalty to Brady Grey was certainly there, but wouldn't have been paid a week ago, so I was happy.
The only decisions I was unhappy about were a couple of times when a Bomber had a long distance shot at goal and missed everything. I thought the AFL rules made that deliberate out of bounds now.
