The slime play like Essendon of circa 2002. Go really hard in opening quarter and get a lead. Then play rope-a-dope in defence, with the ball often in your defensive 50 for long periods. But when it comes out, its bang, bang, bang down to the other end and then goal.
So when playing them you have to go absolutely flat out in the first quarter and hope that the umps don't get involved. Not sure what you do about the rope-a-dope tactic. Maybe don't bomb it in, but keep chipping round outside the 50 until something good appears. And when they make the fast break from defence, just have lots of guys prepared to run like hell to disrupt the chain, and a loose man in defence.
