Can someone please tell me what exactly has Suban done to warrant being in the 25-man squad?

Maybe they thought peel were a better chance if Suban was on the emergency bench instead of Pearce?
Surely after a month of pine warming Danyel needs a run at any level.

Edit: Speaking of emergency listings, surely playing only one recognised ruck man means it would be prudent to name Griff on the pine, particularly for interstate games, what happens is Sandi gets food poisoning or concussion from whacking his head on a low door frame? This would allow Darcy to ruck peel games, surely at his age Griff can't learn much against wafl opposition.

Weve got runners on the bench if we play Tabbs in the forward line like Hughes, Tucker and Sutcliffe but that would mean resting Logue when I thought we were into year 1 of a 4 year rebuild......doesnt make sense!

It makes sense if you believe a break from the rigours of AFL footy is best for the player's development.

Tommy Sheridan is a poor man's Jimmy Walker.

Walker was all lollipop kicks and running fast but getting nowhere. Sheridan isn't as quick.

Cammy Sutcliffe is a poor man's Tommy Sheridan.

I thought Ross made a big selection mistake last week in not adding a big strong backman to take on Darling and to support Hamling against Josh Kennedy. Sam Collins who had 26 possessions and 13 marks for Peel comes to mind.
Freo were too small and too light down back.

Lachie Weller is quick and Brad Hill. McCarthy is pretty fast too and passes the ball really well. I would rather see him at CHF. Griffin Logue can run pretty well but needs to speed up his firs 10 metres. I am not sure about Balic but he appears to get over the ground quickly.
I also think that Essendon may have trouble matching up with Taverners height up forward.

Collins would probably had 5 frees paid against him to Darling as well. That is the damage Darling did. Would not matter what size his opponent is when he is looked after like that by the umps.

James Walker was a decent footballer.

Sutcliffe and Tab's in.

Hope they bring Logue back soon. Maybe the idea was to give him a taste for a month, then let him recover and work on a couple of things at Peel while hopefully getting a bit more of the ball, then come back in 3 weeks.

I'm expecting to see a bit of shuffling and trialling this year. We aren't threatening to take the cup.

From what I've seen over the past couple of weeks, Spurr has been very lucky to hold his spot.
