Whilst I agree with most that has been stated about the infringements to Fyfes rights of movement,
I feel that there is a larger problem that needs to be addressed.
I feel that in large we get no respect from the umpires or media and that is why so many things that are out of the ordinary, as far as decisions or general umpires behaviour seem to happen to the Dockers.
"Siren Gate" in Tasmania , Peter Carey marking the ball and the opposition being asked if they want our player to have his kick again or should he pay advantage and call it a point.
Imagine the uproar if that happen to any other side.
Those three come to mind without any effort and i'm sure between us we could come up with dozens more examples where if it happened to any other club the media would scream up a storm, but oh well it is Fremantle.
Seems to me, we as a club have always played the appeasement strategy in the hopes it will improve.
This still continues until this day and will not change unless the club does something about it.
Ross being so eloquent should be offered a war chest by the club to just payout on any and every decision that he feels was unjustified. this may lead to a harder scrutiny by the umpires for a short time but eventually they will get sick of being scrutinised and actually give us a fair call, which is all we want.
WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR FAVOURABLE TREATMENT, JUST A FAIR GO!!!!!!!!!
