Supposedly Fyfe has a nervous wait.
I find it interesting that Fyfe's 'alleged' swinging arm makes contact with Yo-Yo and you would think if he got whacked on the right side of the face, his head would be turned to the left from the impact.
Why does Yo-Yos face turn to the right? Cameras? Crowd sympathy?

Its not a non-event. Margetts is reported to have told the reserve umpire to make a note of Fyfe's action and refer it to the MRP.

Fyfe to get a week with an early plea.

Pity Margetts didn't actually apply the rule about holding players off the ball and award the free kick required. Too close to goal perhaps?

I don't necessarily expect the club to publicly question the umpires and the poor decisions constantly called against us (although some coaches do - Scott brothers anyone?) but I hope - I truly, sincerely hope - that behind the scenes they ARE questioning and writing to the AFL and doing something, anything, to try and get us a fair go.

If Fyfe gets a week, we might as well all throw our hands in the air and take the rest of the year off. It's beyond a joke.

Yo is holding onto Fyfe at the stoppage and if the umpire had done his job a free would have been awarded and it would have ended there. Fyfe was just trying to get Yo to let go of his arm to contest the ball. Yo is holding on. Enough said. MRP to throw it out. Margetts should be asked what he was doing there consuming oxygen?

Surely the story here is the attention that Fyfe is recieving at the stoppage that is not penalised. Whoever the umpire is presiding over this should be counselled to award free kicks when a player is illegally held at a stoppage. Impact by Fyfe is marginal unintentional and in the act of trying to free himself from an illegal tackle.

Shows three play involvements by Fyfe, in all 3 he was infringed against. No free kick was paid in any of them. That is just a small sample of what he, Walters, Sandi, Neale (Neale has been taken out of the game by illegal holds of the kind that had the AwFL in uproar when it was happening to Ablett and nothing said by the sycophantic pathetic excuse for journalists in WA) and co put up with every week. Everyone is raving about McGovern's 8 intercept marks, if eagles backline was umpired on obstructing the run at the ball the way Freo were, he would have been paid 2. Get real all you apologists for the umpiring, it DOES affect the results of Freo games.

Its all done and dusted. Reporter Jon Ralph (on Fox Sport after conclusion of Pies v Geel) has decreed that Fyfe will get a week; and he's decreed which other questionable incidents of the weekend will be let off or given penalties that he has determined.
MRP's job is done for it, they just need to follow JR's advice.
That's unless, of course, you tell me that the MRP's determinations are not influenced by the media's reporting or by the emphasis (or complete overlooking) of incidents by the broadcast channels, especially during games.

I reckon 2 weeks for Yo-Yo and his bad acting! Got hit in chest at best. He decides to make it look worse, have trainers run to his aid....and slowly makes it to his feet. Pathetic!
