Can't see Logue keeping his place next week. Yes, he's young and appears to be not ready but there's a little niggling voice worrying away in my head that's telling me that he should be showing something by now and please oh please don't tell me we have wasted another top draft pick.

Tucker has done little in any game he's played. Was he a high pick?

Sheridan continues to be his underwhelming self But there doesn't appear to be anyone pushing to take his place.

In Tabs & Sutcliffe. Collins deserves a game but as he's the new SCOS this is unlikely.

Gone early on Logue there CA. I would continue to play him, mainly in back line not forward really.
Would continue with majority of team that played tonight and hope it hurts for renewed effort next week. We were beaten for intensity and attack on the footy. Would prefer to take some losses looking to the future than go back to the well with players that won't offer much in the future.

Logue is going to be a 200 gamer. He's s KPP at 18. Jacob Weitering No 1 draft pick for Carlton in his second year is injury prone and is just going.

We've had 3 memorable wins before last night and after the first 2 rounds, I thought the season was shite. I'm still of the opinion that we'll win 8-10 games this year and other than GWS and Adelaide, the comp is wide open.

We're on a re-plumb journey, some pipes needs to be tightened and some s-bends needs to be cleared which will get done. Very soon.

Logue and tucker are the future. Keep getting games into them. Just take a look at Blakely, Weller and Langdon all starting to play real consistent footy this season

It's like that Donald Duck cartoon. You've got the angel on one shoulder telling you the good things and the devil on the other shoulder telling you the bad things.
I'm listening mostly to the angel but that bloody devil keeps putting his five cents worth in.

Any thoughts on Tucker and Sheridan then?

Tabener has been playing well and even though I'm no big Sutcliffe fan, 37 disposals is hard to ignore.
So are you saying no changes at all? And if there are changes who would go out before them? Also, how do those playing well at Peel get a game and not become disillusioned?

Balic is a different kettle of fish. Has looked better each game he's played.

Corp,

watch the Peel game and then tell me that Sutcliffe should come in. He got a lot of touches and had zero influence on the game unless you count all the turnovers.

He contributes more to Freo by staying at Peel.

Sorry, Peel.

I'm thinking the angel/devil on your shoulder scenario worked better in Animal House.

What else can you expect from Key Position players when
I) stationed in the forward 50 in the first quarter and a whole 8 points is kicked, with McGovern taking 7 intercept marks in the first quarter alone.
II) Barely allowed to touch the eagles forward without giving away a free kick
III) the ease of the delivery into the eagles forward line from lack of midfield pressure early in the game

Hamling had his hands full early on with Kennedy. The other talls down there included Vardy/Giles and Darling. So why Logue was playing forward when it was the perfect chance for him to be playing down back to allow ibbo at least to be that intercept mark role..

When Logue was put on Kennedy he competed.

But we can all say lets send him back to the WAFL, fact is last year when Collins played on Kennedy the result was still the same, 6 goals and a Rosco.

Tucker was quiet spend under 60% game time on the field, then again so was Fyfe and Mundy by their lofty standards. Sheridan and Ibbotson would be dropped before Tucker, West coast had 22 players on the field when Sheridan had his hands on it.

Problem is when those 6 changes were made, Peel hasn't won a game since. Collins perhaps could come in for Ibbo which might release johnson a bit more, or on the other spectrum taberner comes in for ibbo and backs up in the ruck to allow more stability down back.

Spurr and Ibbo out. Anyone else can come in thats on the list but those two need a rest to say the least.

Id prefer Sheridan over Sutcliffe, but neither are anything special.

Given that we are playing a weaker team in Essendon, I think give Collins a go and see how he goes. I think he is slow but lets see. Logue has to stay in a then spell him for a couple. I think the list is very good, its just from 18-22 that is not quite right yet. Keep swapping the bottom 4 players around until we find a gem.

Spurr out? Some of you guys must watch a different team to me. He has been fantastic so far this year. Last night was average but if that's the criteria for getting dropped then McCarthy would be playing on his own next week.

We just have to hope last night was a bit of an anomaly but we were also terrible against North for much of the game. The players who have their careers on the line for me are Crozier and Sheridan.

The three wins have masked the truth. We are a bottom 4 side ,and I would suggest that both the lions and Carlton are in front due to the overall structure and spine of those sides. We have had extremely poor positional recruiting for over 5 years and last year was the first time that the club has pulled its head out of its rear and tried to address that. However it will now take time, and it assumes we can recruit positionally right going forward. Our track record suggest we are no where near elite in this area. Our future ruck stocks rely on a chubby 18 year old and hope against all hope that an ageing sandi can still keep going.
Our back line is held up by a solid j hamming ( solid only), and our forward line rest on the back of a promising second/ 3rd tall, Mc carthy. All those 3 where recruited this year.
Sheridan was a midfielder not a backman and the same as Sutcliffe. Our obsession with recruiting midfielders and turning them into backs has not delivered results , though lachie Weller maybe one. Not sure where our next small forward is , though I am sure freo management will squeeze another 5 years from ballas before deciding to recruit another one. Yes Michael is still there but surely at 26 is time to get another young one on this list.
Just poor planning up to 2015 and over estimating the list . As for ibbo he has been let down by Ross. Instead of being dropped and letting him get form in peel , the coach is in his wisdom has allowed this poor footballer to absolutely lose all semblance of confidence in the 1st. As for Spurr , thankfully he plays at freo because would not be on any other list in the afl. Yes he has plenty of blood and guts but that does not make it when you can't run ,kick or win one on ones. I love sentiment up to a point!

What are you on about. Spurr is nearly the best contested mark in the team and wins plenty of one on ones. He also finds enough of his own ball. His kicking is poor, but again, if that's your criteria for dropping players we would field about 5 blokes every week. Kicking is not exactly a strong point at Freo.
