I'm gonna totally contradict myself here because I'm stupid and seem to argue both sides whenever I can.
a) sure I'm not blaming the umpires because the umpires weren't McGovern taking marks in our forward all the time or Kennedy marking in front, HOWEVER;
b) if you give us the free we should have gotten in that first qtr in front of goal, that would probably be 1 goal to us, was it 3 (?) frees the wiggles were paid in front of their goal that resulted in 3 goals. Take those 3 off and the ball game would have been a lot closer and heads wouldn't have dropped so quickly
c) a 9m mark? and WTF was that 50 against was it Walters?
d) LeCras was about 1m out of bounds when he kicked the ball to JK in the 2nd (I think) and they got a resulting goal, where are you, oh boundary umpires? what are you being paid for, oh boundary umpires? YOU HAVE ONE JOB, OH BOUNDARY UMPIRES!!!

Sure these are what-ifs and maybes but why on earth are umpires getting so involved in games that there ARE what-ifs and maybes? Umpires should not be influencing games like that

Tri when some of those are essentially 12 point swings, where basically we should have a shot on goal and they go straight down and score.. throw a few of them in and all of a sudden 40 points becomes 10.

The ladder shows that we're one game outside the 8. There's 16 games to go. Looking at the draw, other than the Roos, we've played teams that are supposedly top 8 sides. Its not inconceivable that come season's end, we'll actually be ahead of the Slime in ladder order. Some might say that's laughable but the wins we've had might be handy at the business end.

Myboys, you forgot Mitchell's chronic throwing, which seems contagious, likewise his cribbing over the mark. The 40 mt 50 meter penalties to Freo which the clowns commentating thought was funny (umpire Fisher I believe) The 50 against Spurr for going over the mark. He went sideways, and was a meter BEHIND the mark. The constant incorrect disposal in the tackle which was paid to the eagles against Freo, but how many did Freo receive? Maybe 1.

Just watched first qtr after listening on the radio, was not as bad as it sounded.
Some obvious poor decisions, holding the ball missed in goal square, Mitchell throw in the centre square, in the back for Darling (although case could be made, if paid every time lots of goals will be scored), Weller's mark not paid.
Otherwise we did give away some sloppy ones and our delivery inside 50 was atrocious.
