You had to be at the game to appreciate how fast and how far Brad Hill runs, you just can't see and appreciate it on TV. It was like watching a pinball going North, South, East and West for 120 minutes.

To kick that goal that was started by Grey in the last quarter Brad ran the full length of the ground - he started 30 metres behind Grey and actually out ran the ball! Amazing endurance and fortitude at that point of the game.

Yep, it's impressive to watch, and it's something we've lacked. He seems to have periods where he can't hit a target, but if the game is close in the final quarter having someone who can find space and provide an option can be the difference between winning and losing.

I thought I was pessimistic but for Biz, behind every silver lining, there's a cloud.

Another year without Hill would have been just another reason to leave D Pearce back in til next year. He's a depth player, like too many of our previous starting 22. He'll get a game when the young players struggle and injuries kick in.

There's another draft next year. We'll have some low picks in it.

I'll put my hand up and take the heat. I called Brad Hill an outside receiver and I couldn't see his value to our club. I was wrong. So, so wrong.

I too have been amazed at the ground he covers and the number of quality inside fifties he provides.
