I've like the concept of him since he was recruited. But they can't seem to get him on the park?? Excuse my "Peel ignorance"...but is he playing, and hows he going??

And would appreciate any knowledge of how the Uebergang kiddie is going?? Seems to be injured a lot.

How are both progressing, and are they likely types?? And importantly, how far away??

Ubergang has been injured since middle of 2016 , and is still a TBA.

There's a compelling argument about increasing the draft age to 21. The young kids that are drafted at 18, most have underdeveloped bodies. Like everything there are exceptions. Griffin Login, Sam Powell Pepper comes to mind. I think Pav was right in recommending the AFL look into this area of the game. Duty of Care comes to mind.

Nyhuis is a chance to play this week. Test. Uebergang has been out for a year with a hamstring injury and TBA for a comeback. Seriously? What is that? Has his leg fallen off?
Never known a hamstring injury to take that long to heal. Must have been that bloody Fremantle Oval surface.
Pearce TBA. How do we manage to have or let a guy recovering from a broken leg break it again doing running drills?

Righteo!! Well...I read all the above - and thanks for all the info! - and you have a bit of a think about things..and ....well... are we recruiting injury prone players or is it "just bad luck" ?????
I reckon resilience and durability might have to go up a notch on the list manager's checklist....?!?!

Feel free to add on but ...Apeness, Bennell, A .Pearce, Uebergang, Nyhuis, Balic (till recently) -who have I missed??.....Whats going on ???

Deluca is 1-3 weeks away. He would have been injured more than he has played.
Ryan was injured in pre season has played one game and is injured again.

As a regular thunder watcher my opinion this guy can play and is a true old fashioned defender/stopper above all else and he has speed and height (look at his game in the GF) Ready replacement for Spurr in the back pocket when the time comes
Uber from what i saw from limited games is touch and go (not tall enough for a KP) ie looks to be a good mark and reasonable kick, but why did B/lions let him go
Deluca shows talent , pace & kicking , good team player and is a keeper

There are heaps of 18 year olds playing since round 1, eg SPP, Logue, McGrath, etc. It depends on the player and his physical maturity. OK some get injured, eg Ainsworth, but so do older players.

Pavlich debuted early on and his birthday is not until the last day of the year meaning he was many months younger than some others in the same draft. But of course he was 193cm and 90kg. So it's ironic he wants the age lifted because he would never had played 350+ games and be employed for 3 years out of school.

I passed Ryan outside Subi last Saturday night - I was going for a pint with The Gørmëister in the Sports Bar, he had his head down heading for the dressing room. Serious looking bloke with a baby face - had the corporate suit/shoes on but looked pretty solid to me. He impressed me last year with Peel and could probably had a better game than Spurr had last weekend. I said 'g'day' (he just frowned).

Is Luke Ryan injured again? On the AFL website it says he pulled up well from his first game following an ankle issue but it has him listed as 3-4 weeks with a hip injury
