I dont know anyone who didnt love Barlow, me included. But there are only so many slow, poor kickers you can have in a team.
Gold Coast who are basically chock full of youth pace and skill can afford to have his special attributes. In the end we had too many blue collar Barlow types who could only get us so far.
Good luck to him but I now think the right decision has been made. If we had kept him another year or so he would have found it hard to get another contract after we inevitably chopped him, so like Mayney it was best they went whilst they still had personal currency.
The way Chris Mayne is playing for the Pies his four year contract was pure genius on his behalf. Not so good for Eddie.
