To be honest I thought Sheridan actually finished the season off reasonably well when he was playing as a run with player rather than playing off half back.

It seems half the issues are players who we as spectators feel are being played out of position. In my AFL uneducated opinion

Suban has great foot skills and has always been better playing off half back than up forward.
Blakely needs to be in the clearances, dishing the ball out not sitting on a hf flank.
Jon Griffin is a #1 type ruckman and not a FF, thus why he hasn't played 100 games as it's barely worked having him and sandilands in the same line up.
Zac Clarke was slightly more mobile at least so did work ok as a back up ruckman
- This is where we need Apeness back and fit, has shown more in his limited chances up forward and can pinch hit in the ruck.

If you wanted to throw someone a slightly different role I would throw neale forward as a small forward, great goal sense, keeps his feet and can get the footy in congestion. Give blakely some more time on the ball to develop.

And let's start out the Wiz as an ass coach for now. So he's ready for the top job next year.

Well...on the basis that 'hell with have to freeze over' before The Fist is dropped, I don't see why we don't use 'The Fist' in the ruck??? There could be worse....maybe...
I mean...it'd put him to good use, and its not like Griffen is achieving much there.
Others on these pages have suggested one of the good points about "The Fist", is that he is tall. Well, lets put that to use !! He's not going to take marks around the ground, and Gawd help us if he marks it within 40 m of goal (well, thats just not gonna happen is it?...), and he is more than proficient at handballing it off to someone very nearby in a bit of congestion.

So give the kiddy a go, and maybe we can get him to 200 games.

Suban could play that sweeper role in a similar way to what Heath Black did towards the end of his career. My worry is that he lacks a yard of pace, and seems to have lost confidence in his contested marking. Maybe going back there would help him regain that marking power, but the lack of foot speed and reaction speed is a worry.
