TOPIC: Where to now

Agree with most of those changes but would include Sheridan on top of them and give Connor Blakeley a break away from the pressure this week to sharpen him up for the following week. Connor seems to have lost his way this year not that he is the only one of course. Would also love to see Gray given an elevation from the rookie list and rushed in as this guy is an absolute goer!

It will be interesting to see if Roly drops his untouchables this week. ie those players that fit his "effort trumps ability"
At the moment we seem to be down by the head with them. However, there are those in our team that have shown some skill by foot and hand in the past and should be persevered with. How these decisions are made could be quite educational
to observers. I may be premature in writing off this season but I became suspicious last year when stories of lack of
Roly's "hands on" instruction surfaced and Suma's banishment from the coaches box emerged. To date, nothing hs allayed my suspicions that awarding the coach a five-year contract was nothing short of, well, rather less than informed.

'Eventually'. I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with every point you made there.
I. Sheridans had his chances. He will never be any better than he already is, which is not good enough
II. If Connor Blakely gets dropped this week, I will completely lose my s**t. It will spell the beginning of the end for RoLy if he doesn't play. Put him back in the guts where he belongs.
III. Brady Greys tenacity is second to none and I love that stuff. He is as hard as nails but unfortunately his skills are easily the worst in the squad ( that's saying something). Just not up to AFL standard.
Just the way I see it

Jason....you asked this question. ...: "Also, for all those calling for Ross' head - tell me one quality, successful (over a long period) and available senior coach to take over? ". ......

The answer is Choco!! Poly is absolutely right, Choco is the man. Have a think about it and you'll see.

After all those losses last year (and this year's start) I honestly would think the club (CEO, President, anyone really) would come out with something. Instead, I get an email inviting me to front up for a $65 pre-game function in the Bill Walker room. Yeesh, how much of an idiot do they think I am?

Blakely into the guts is the first move that needs to be made. The half forward flank is for players like Neale, D Pearce, Weller and co.

Would Paul Roos do a better job than Ross Lyon at the moment? You'd have to say yes.

Sumich? Not sure.
Choco? Not sure.

If you're going for a first time coach, how about Jarrod Schofield?

I agree totally with the AFL.com.au selections. Would be good to get Luke Ryan in soon too.

I've been a supporter of Dawson until now because his limited role made sense with McPharlin and Johnson providing the rebound and skill, but with them gone (Johnson effectively gone) Dawson is just totally exposed. It's not like shutting down one opposition key forward each week is stopping us being scored against anyway.

Let Taberner pinch hit in the ruck. Griffin is earnest, but his presence in our best 22 is a barometer for how mediocre our list has become. Likewise Dawson.
