I was there this morning. There was a bit of excitement as murmurs went round that the player 200 metres away in full length skins and fluoro green boots was Harley, but it was the similarly sized but distinctly paler complexioned Luke Ryan who, I have to say, looked good. Moved with the poise of the highly tuned athelete and kicked the ball beautifully. He mighty have a chance of making it.
Harley appeared later and did a bit of kick to kick with one of the coaching staff. He also moved beautifully with no strapping evident on his calves or anywhere else. Word from the old guys leaning on the fence, who had spoken to him recently, was that he's nearly ready to go. He's hoping for Round 5.
Training was all pretty low key. Only things I noted - apart from young Ryan - Tommy Sheridan looks really big. In a good way. I wondered if he was being bulked up for a more inside/run-with type role and Sean Darcy looks a real chance to make it. was doing well in 1 on 1 drills with the other big guys and the change in his body shape from those pre-draft videos suggests he has the determination and work ethic to give it a damn good go.
Dumin was carried off looking the worse for wear - a trainer on either side, putting no weight on his left foot and not even really hopping on his right. He looked kinda groggy, like he could have been concussed, but I didn't see the incident, so no idea what happened.
