Ever get the feeling that Apeness is never quite going to make it? He seems to either be injured or barely contributing at WAFL level.

If Apeness was a horse, I would be putting him in a very green paddock for the next 12 months.
If Cam Mac & Kersten can stay fit he wouldnt get a game anyway..
Griffin showed a bit on the weekend as the second ruck/fwd so hopefully his good form continues.
Young Darcy has already jumped him and is our future as a ruckman IMO.

If apeness was a horse I'd be blaming bond for recruiting a horse

Good to see Cox being played as a forward, with Apeness going down and Kersten yet to fire since coming across from the cats, I'm glad the coaches are looking for other options. Did anyone see the game? Interested to know how Über is going as he looked promising.

I was at the game and our best three players in order ... Brady Gray (forget the stats) his attack on the ball was outstanding and his kicking looks to have improved, he should replace Balla`s in the forward pocket
Suban next (much improved attitude) then Crozier
Balic did some good things in tight and is a definate player to work with
Cox looks/moves like a good KP player
Duman and Stadinca have a long way to go
Uber didnt play or the new recruit who plays HBF (nor did deluca or tabs who was in the grandstand)
Apes was doing well till he got hurt
Good to see H Bennell at three quarter time instructing young player about body positioning

Never understood what Grey did wrong to get himself delisted in the first place.

If you're a rookie listed player, you are way down in the pecking order of getting a game. And if you do, you're normally promoted onto the senior list to replace someone on the LTI list. Grey will not play senior footy unless we're hit by another injury crisis. That's just the nature of the AFL landscape and coaches.

Corporal Agarn
Yes I know that but seeing as there was nothing wrong with his WAFL form and he played quite well in his two AFL games I still don't know why he was delisted in the first place. He was then redrafted on the rookie list. I think he's better value than some players on our main list.

Plus of course we've already got three players in Ballantyne, Apeness and Pearce who we could put on the long term injury list.

Agree on Grey. I was mystified when he got dropped - thought he deserved a bit more time with the big boys. But he must have done something wrong. Disposal, Ross said. But looking at our team, particularly at the start of last year, we would have only fielded 10 players if good disposal was needed to stay in the team.
