Folk do see colours differently, but surely if it has blue and red in it the colour is purple.
Seem to recall a lot of us saying our present day purple was in fact blue, which is in fact not possible with shedloads of red in it.
And if I am utterly wrong, which I doubt, then what is the issue with pink anyway.
If you want to see a shocking strip in pink - which this certainly isn't - have a look at the Heart of Midlothian strip this year; they've gone back to an 1880's retro Scottish national strip based on the very Scottish combination colours of musk and lemon yellow. If i had the know how I'd post an image, but seriously check it out - I swear you will feel much better, and realise there but for the grace of God we could have all been supporting Hawthorn, the Cows, Port or the Toilet. Actually, scratch the latter.

Ok - here you go, Hearts kit for this year. Odd looking combo (for sure), but fair dinkum it's got the players...um...well, they're up/about wearing the stripes:

I swear, straight off their site - there ain't no photoshopping on this picture - it just must have been an exciting experience for them.

One of Freo's staunchest sons (Dale Kickett) steps up to add something to Freo's proud noongar culture and all we can do is criticize it/him. Accept it for what it is and save your arrows for targets that need shooting down.

I do accept it for what it is. It's a dud jumper design.

I reckon the "boomerangs" were added in by the committee at a later date. That's why the main design is pink.

why is there a home and away uniform? Is the indigenous round over 2 weeks or is it for merchandise sales ?

As a side point, the six Noongar seasons make a lot more sense than the four we currently have. March and May are both in Autumn but they are completely different weather-wise. Figures that when it comes to classifying stuff it might be a good idea to listen to the folks who have lived in the area for thousands of years.

So the jumper design got me, a non-indigenous man, to do a bit of research and look into Noongar culture.. And as a consequence I now know something I didn't before.

I think it's doing its job.

I don't know if it has anything to do with temperatures, rather food availability at certain points of the year, but yes, it is a good and interesting design. If Dale is helping Ricard Walley to design it I like it simply on principle. RM is right. Really there are far worse things to criticise than this - which, no doubt, folk have whinged about - a lot. For mine this isn't one of them, and I actually like how it represents far more than just a meaningless pattern.
Agreed, that it wasn't exactly a revelation to turn the chevrons into boomerangs, but who cares to be honest.
Just take a look at those poor Hearts boys wearing those insipid colours to remind yourself that whatever comes it could have been far, far worse. Imagine trying to intimidate the Celtic boys wearing those colours.

If Dale Kickett drew a picture of a man jumping off a bridge would you draw one too.

Shane, if he drew a picture of a man jumping off a bridge in order to punch Phil Read, I'd be sorely tempted

I'd draw a picture of a man setting fire to a bridge that had just collapsed on Phil Read.

Me too T_Y

If it was a man punching Phil Read off a bridge, I'd be running for the toddler's Crayolas without a second thought.

Shane that looks more like something the eagles "support staff" would have on their desk after a session with their past players association.
