Nup this is getting ridiculous!!. There had better be some "Grand Roly Masterplan" or things are gonna get very grim very quick, and nup, saying its gonna take 4 years doesn't cut it. !! That's just a cop out, and vain attempt to lower expectations.
Look at today's Final Teams... :
1) Have dropped Apeness, who needs as much match practice he can get because he simply does not know what is going on out there, Doesn't know how to get it, and has played 7 games since being our top draft pick in 2013. Showed no intent in Gero last week, and looked exhausted at all times.
2) Likewise Tabenar, dropped. Needs as much match practice as he can get, because the poor lad still thinks the emergency rule applies and he's only on for a quarter. Dropped everything he touched last week in Gero, and very rarely was near it, or proffering something. Been on the list since 2013, needs step up.
3) Don't play Collins who can kick mark handball AND defend quite reasonably. Apply the Silvagni rule to him...(ie we know he can play but don't play him, because he might in fact be useful...)
4) Drop Sheriden who they've been banging on about all summer as being our new midfielder. Didn't go near the midfield in Gero last week, had a man bun, and went nowhere near the ball. No way that he'd need more match practice this week...
5) Don't play Griffen Logue because he is not ready to gain the experience he apparently lacks. Unbelievable...!!
6) Play "The Fist" ...because at 31, and after 164 AFL games, he still cant kick, mark, or handball effectively or get near it, and therefore obviously needs to get match practice. He's obviously our future under Roly.
Ok...its preseason matches and they are meaningless, but surely we've got to start ramping some of the above guys up. Sitting on a bench or playing for Peel is not gonna improve them. If they can't make play a poxy preseason match, how the heck are any of the above gonna be useful to 2017??
Prepare a room at Graylands....!!
