i) It was their 2nd competitive game vs our first.
ii) They were full strength, we were missing Sandilands and Neale.
iii) Several players were playing their 1st game for Freo in 9 months, or ever.
iv) Slime got 0 premiership points for winning

I know it's only preseason but there was very little positives to be taken from tha game, unable to get the ball then unable to keep the ball. Last years pre season we looked ordinary and won games, this year we looked terrible and got smashed. I hope it is not pre cursor for what is to come.
One positive about the game, at least Australia were embarrassing India on the other channel at the same time,

I hope Ross has reslised his centre square set up is not working! Last year he seemed to blame the players and we axed some long time servants of the club, this time with Barlow out and Hill Jnr in we won the hit outs convincingly but still got smashed in the clearances. This has been the case since Kirk left and we don't seem to have any answers.

We seemed to split the centre clearances evenly according to the stats. After 1/4 time our centre square work improved. We wont be up against the "Mitchell Throw" style of centre clearance every week either.

What you have to remember about last preseason is that it was the first time the players had seen the coach since September, so they were keen to try and impress him.
