So... I had to endure trying to maintain a pair of white and non-white footy shorts that actually fit me through the most morphologically challenging period of my life (until recently), for the whole convention to be thrown out for the women's code? I can't shake the notion that this is horribly sexist. But maybe it's just an oversight.

Maybe nobody at the AFL is familiar with the long and consistent tradition of white shorts away, and home team colours for the home team. If so sack the lot.

How is it their mistake? The white jumper is supposed to be a clash strip, not a blend in strip.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The AFL should have a big poster that mandates what uniform each team has to wear against every other team. And bring in a colour expert to science away any whinging.

i) our white gear is not our away strip, it is our clash jumper.
Ii) our home strip doesn't clash with GWS home strip.
iii) we were directed to wear purple, we should always wear purple unless told not to because of a clash.
iv) it was our fault, we copped the fine.
