Going into last season I though Fyfe was a smart, young, brave, articulate Brownlow Medallist about to enter his prime and who would be a shoe-in for Captain. Then the players voted for David Mundy. I don’t know what was in the players’ minds, but the two obvious explanations were:
i. Fyfe wasn’t as well like inside the club as he was outside of it; and / or
ii. The players really love David Mundy.
Presumably the players don’t love David Mundy any less than they did 12 months ago, but it will be interesting to see if Fyfe has enamoured himself with the playing group over that time.
