This kid McGovern I reckon is as good as Jeremy Cameron or Tom Boyd. If he's put contract talks on hold, he's surely considering the move home. Clearly the links to West Coast are strong but he might follow his dad's lead and request a trade to Freo. With McCarthy and McGovern in our forward line, we could have a Mac Attack at our disposal. Surely we'd love some Maccas.

No one seemed to raise an eyebrow at the fact we drafted a Brennan & Cox so if that's ok, what's wrong with Mitch's and Chads?

Edit: while we are on the topic of names, I have done some research and discovered why 2016 went so wrong, it was the first year in our history we didn't have a "Mc or Mac" on our list, from the inaugural team with McGovern snr to Shawn Mc, Luke Mac and Adam Mc plus I am sure there have been others, freo has always had one on the list.
I blame GWS for their handling of the whole Cam Mac affair and expect the footy gods to stop them from winning a premiership before we do as reparations

Nobody in the world.............nobody..............no.....body has been stronger in their support of all possible surnames than Dockerland. Nobody!

However, we do see great danger to our community in allowing anyone with a first name of either Chad or Mitch to represent our beautiful team. This is not prejudice. We are not prejudiced. It is only the morons who support the lefty so-called media in this country who would say we are prejudiced. We are not........I repeat NOT prejudiced. We are just fighting to ensure our team becomes great again and a necessary step forward.......FORward....is to ensure we build a wall (or maybe a fence.........or maybe just draw a line on the ground) around our club to keep all the Chads and Mitchs out. It will be a big beautiful wall (or fence, or line).

I believe it is part of a great plan to lure both McGovern's into purple - recruit Mitch, the brother will follow.

Keep in mind that if we have all of Brennan, Cox and Langdon - the other mob have a McGovern. My point is that it is so much more about Mitches, Chads and Beaus than surnames.
