I'm happy that De Boer and Barlow, two players who I thought we should keep, have both found new homes. I wonder if De Boer owes Pav anything for getting him that last game against the Bullies? His performance in that game would have caught the eye of talent scouts.

Shame he was no good at playing the role Roley wanted him to.

Who is? That defensive half forward role is a Freo graveyard.

Just as a matter of interest, over the last 15 years, how many players have left Freo and gone on to be superstars of the comp???

Very pleased for one of our favourite players. At only 26 (or so) he's potentially got five years of AFL football left, and ?I, for one, think he's quite capable if bein a regular member of even a multiple-premiership-bound team like GWA.

Whtever happens, you can be sure of two things: he'll approach whatever role they have in mind for him with total professionalism, and he's got a stand-up cheer heading his way from some seats in 104 (or wherever we get to at the Colindome) whenever he plays back here.

On ya Pig.

Dutchy doesn't need to be in their best 22, there's always injuries and he's the kind of player that will hold good value in a squad of younger players (like we supposedly have).

At 26 he has plenty of football left in him and I'm sure he'll do a good job for them.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Freo's 2016 calendar coming up trumps again... Duffield, Tendai and Barlow have already been featured, turn over to December this week to spend a month with De Boer.

They might need to start liaising with the list managers a bit more.

The calendar seems like a good indicator of how well the list management model was going.

Looks like they've snuck Pavlich in for 2017.

(sorry, spoiler alert)

If previous calendars are anything to go by, Bennell won't play a game, Fyfe will leave, Garrick will be delisted and Pav will... well I won't even dare write anything about Pav.

I'm a bit worried about November then.

In answer to Raglan, all of these players became All Australian after they left us.
James Clement, Trent Croad, Paul Medhurst, Jeff White, Peter Bell

Don't really think Croad or White should count, CA, as they never ever joined Freo, so the percentage is very small, and Bell did return.

Shane, Brett Peake was traded so doesn't count. By my count Freo delisted 94 players between 2000 and 2015 so 3 players sipping through the cracks, and Medhurst had already given good service, is not throwing away a lot of talent.

How many players have come to us from another club and consequently been AA? Peter Bell and how much did we have to pay to get him back when he was already ours and we shouldn't have let him go.

So what if Medhurst had already given good service. He could still have been giving good service to us. What did we get in return? Not an AA player. We tried to bulk him up and turn him into a mini hulk. Collingwood slimmed him down and let him play his natural game.

James Clement gave good service too. Doesn't mean we should have let him go. Every club has players that give good service. I don't think our trading history is very good at all. Even this year we saw four good to serviceable players delisted, picked up by other clubs and we got nothing for them.

Without going through all the lists I wouldn't mind betting that any other club wouldn't come near letting that many players go who went on to such heights.

Never joined Freo? As in didn't play or weren't there long?
