I did Teasea but my mind is a little bit hazy early in the morning and think others might summarise better but I will give it a go, may not necessarily be in order of events:
I) Michelle Cowan was introduced early and she was a real highlight. Video of women's training was played first and some behind the scenes, great stuff and then yes Michelle spoke. Some great inspirational words including things like her young daughter can now watch on TV 44 great women athletes run around as heroes.
ii) Video then of time lapse of ETAF construction with some kind of electronic music in the background, wasn't New Order or The Buggles. We were told that the facility would not be best of its kind in Australia ...but in fact....the world.
iii) New Pres was introduced and I think Dale Alcock spoke very well. Very encouraging I thought. Later in the piece a member did ask why he did not dignify us by wearing a tie - Dale said that he always saw them as unnecessary and that took him too much time to tie them up, which was wasted time everyday when this time could be used for doing real work. Steve Rosich at this moment looked slightly awkward sitting behind wearing a tie.
iv) Lachie Neale spoke few words in question session with MC. Was congratulated on the Doig, he mentioned since he was a junior he had been runner up in B&F 4 or 5 times before and never won one until now. Lachie mentioned that season just gone team's fitness just wasn't good and this preseason was really going to be about fitness. Later on in January, team will be getting to work on methods. This did later in question time (Lachie gone by this stage so directed to Pres and The Steve) bring quite eloquent question from member asking "...ummm, how come we were not fit THIS year when we pay fitness and high performance coaches to do this?". Answer I actually don't remember as I don't think was really answered.
v) New players - McCarthy, Brad Hill and Kersten introduced in Q&A with the MC. Very good stuff, they seem excited to get in to it. Little Hilly said when asked if Rosco told him where he will be playing that just hoped would be same spot.
vii) Media booted out and question time commenced. Not as volatile as other years and as I thought could have been. Number of sensible questions asked and answers directed back. Again thought Dale Alcock handled these very well.
viii) Possibly most common question asked was where is Rosco? Answer was : " in Sydney". Next question was why is members meeting always on at this date as Ross is never here. Answer was "...cause its in the constitution". Next question was why don't you change the constitution so Ross can be here as he hasn't been here for years. Answer was "...thats a good idea, we might look in to that".
ix) In fact most common question asked by members was about new Stadium seating in 2018. Along lines of I have been a member since day 1 and I want seat 1A. Not quite, I am being facetious. I get people being worried about having good seat at new stadium but find it bit boring. At this point I start to think about party pies and sausage rolls post meeting and do hope that quality and quantity is up to scratch.
x) On new stadium, was mentioned that Slime are holding up admin proceedings getting done but it will. Dale said he had been around it that week and it will be best in Australia, he is a builder so no doubt knows what he is talking about. He also mentioned Subi has 50 female toilet cubicles where as the new one will have 750..this brought possibly the loudest standing ovation of the night. Mainly from female members.
xi) Meeting concluded, of course other things happened which I forget now but others may bring up. Party Pies and Sausage Rolls were in fact best effort I have seen. Both in quality and quantity. I was the one that was grabbing 3 or 4 at a time. Didn't bother with the quiche ...left those for the members wearing East Fremantle shirts.
