It's a tough situation to be in though. What do you do when one of your footballers tells you he's taken something and he thinks he might test positive to performance enhancing drugs.
It seems like the best course of action would have been for him to take his chances, the odds he would have been tested are bugger all. But once he's contacted someone official, if you hang up the phone and tell him to hope he doesn't get tested, then you are complicit in hiding his drug use.
You're obligated to report him but then he will get tested and he might end up with a two year ban, at best a strike. No one is ever going to tell you about their drug use again and you can't help anyone.
Telling him to go to Lambert's house was stupid but it was probably just to settle him down and keep an eye on him. If they'd wanted to drug test him and he wasn't at home, he's in trouble straight away. Then it would have taken two phones calls to track him down and get the test done.
