Walter the baker
Now that the clean out seems to have been finalised, I've had a quick look at who is left. It's fair to say that the remaining squad have a good mix of age and experience. One name that seemed out of place is Balic. I appreciate that he has been injured and this may be the reason that he has yet to play a game. Apart from that I know nothing about him and why he is seen as a keeper. Does anyone have more in him?

For most of the season, Shane, the only thing Balic would have been playing is X-box - with his non-injured wrist of course. Balic was our first selection the year before, and has looked really good almost immediately from his first game played.

Second pick after Tucker

played 5 senior games after missing with a wrist injury all year and picked up an average of 20 possessions across those games, including 23 in the GF

apparently was rate a possible top 20 in the year we got him at 38 - drifted due to the injury

Looks like he did everything he could to go through rehab and then play some good footy. I'm looking forward to 2017 from this kid

Cmon Walter - get with it.
He is another young star in the Weller, Langdon and Blakely mould.
In his first (real) ressies game for Peel late in the year after no pre season and longterm wrist injury he had over 30 possessions by 3 qtr time.
He was straight into the league team and looked sure and composed.
He played well in the GF and all league games.
He is highly rated and will prove to be an astute pick with our 2nd round pick last year.
He is a keeper obviously

Ah ha Drubbing you have fallen into the trap that most people who talk about Freo have. The new Harleys are as good as anything else on the road bike wise. Its only when you speak to the guys who bought them twenty or so years ago that you hear of the handling and reliability problems. Like the new improved Freo they are a good thing, although sometimes people like to pull apart and tinker with a good thing which makes it run terribly. Stick to what you have without too much mods and she will be all good ( I am looking at you coaching staff).
As far as pissing people off goes, as long as they are not waring purple who cares.
