No Idea until the national draft is done and dusted
Rookie Pick 1 is a massive advantage as there is usually a slider that is a obvious pick.
Rookie 3 will get us a good project player if not more however..
Pre Season 3 may not even be used....There is not too many delisted free agents out there that are any better than who we have delisted. We may just keep the salary space and pick up an extra rookie..

You can also still pick up any player who nominated for the National Draft in Pre-Season draft. Doesn't have to be a delisted player or free agent.

We picked up Michael Johnston originally as a draftee in the PSD. We had five picks (only) inside 30 in 2004, took who we could, liked Johnston but rated him in the 30's, couldn't believe he was still there after the other teams went through their selections in the National Draft, and cleared a spot in the PSD to take him at 8. Win.

I'm led to believe that the draft isn't a lottery by a few esteemed DLs. Every club have had hits and misses, Freo clearly missed a few. Some might point the finger at Bond in recent times but really he has just as much Intel as your everyday punter who relies on the form guide to pick a winner. You'd have more chance picking the Melbourne Cup winner than you would picking in the AFL draft. As for the cup winner, why do I even bother.

Sure Jezza, let's do away with all of our overpaid and useless recruiters and talent scouts, put all the draftees names in a hat and see who we get on the day. It'll save the club a bucketload of cash to focus on the important things like bringing over the very best Kabbaddi and Handball coaches from Europe to teach our incredibly highly paid coaches how to coach well.

While we're at it we can get rid of that pesky first round pick for multiple 5th round picks, that way we can get even more superstar kids while the rest of the loser clubs in the draft stupidly try to pick up more high draft picks. I can't believe no one has attempted this before, some one get a hold of Bondy and let him in on the secret plan before the draft!
