TOPIC: Tim English

I think McPharlin was 193cm and had an incredible jump on him. In saying that he was pick 10. I'm not saying Logue isn't going to be a good player, I'm saying there will be better available at pick 7 and Logue is valued more in the early teens.

If Logue or English are who we end up with then I have no idea why our trade team only went down to pick 7 for 3 instead of earning multiple picks in the teens.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Looks like he found a bit of the ball last night, granted it is pre season.

I was a fence sitter on whether to draft him last year, lets hope he does well and gets home sick.

We should have picked him. It's a two man contest now and having Sherman tank types doesn't cut it against agile leaping big blokes, unless your tank is 211 or taller.

It will be interesting to see his progress against Sean Darcy. I'm sitting on the fence at this stage. I watched the game the other night and Tim English didn't set the world on fire, most of his possession went to the opposition. I'm sure Darcy will be a good player for us. They're both ahead of Sandi at the same stage thats for sure. He was hopeless when he started.

Hodor looks solid, but there's no tank, theres no tank....! He is a long, long, long way away. Showed signs contesting throw in's last week in Gero that he's not gonna be shifted easily, but getting him to the contest is gonna be the problem. Doesn't like running....
Still, with The Fro continuing his habit of winter holidaying, Hodor is one injury away from being our main ruckman...Its a worry!!

Ive watched Sean Darcy a fair bit training this preseason as Ive been off work with illness. His attitude is brilliant and he has a massive leap for a player his size. His kicking is wonderful for a big man. Will be a fine player in a few years. Ditto Cox and Logue.

BTW: Sean probably improved his running more than any player on our list this preseason and is significantly slimmer from when he was drafted.

And he showed a couple of times he has guts as went back into a contest he knew was going to hit him. That counts for a lot more than athleticism and pretty boy footy.
