Biz the two key position guys in your team are a concern Apeness not even ripping it up at WAFL level , Taberner is still a work in progress , if he continues to improve i can see him in a KPF role , midfielders resting in the forward pocket is so 70's

If Ballas stays he's obviously in for the forward pocket kid.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

At 193 cm he is taller than Gibson, Rampe, Grundy. Same height as Day, Hurley and Harry Taylor, and 1 or 2 cm shorter than Tahlia, Tom McDonald, WCE McGovern and a host of other blokes who play key defensive roles these days ... And just blitzed 3km time trial and beep test at combine while already weighing in at 92kgs.

Biz --- how exactly is that not big enough to hold down a key defensive spot?

Seems he is a natural defender with a heap of upside and from WA. Certainly worth a look. I also think we'd be better taking him than trading for Hamling.

Isn't that the argument against SCOS, he's only that height and not big enough for the monster forwards of modern times? I believe the talk is more in line with all the 195cm+ forwards that are recruited these days and the growing size of key position players but like I said, I like the look of him and think he would be a worthwhile pick up. Problem is everyone wants to trade away any pick we might use to grab him.

And I don't think it's going to improve as I get a growing feeling we are going to swap Pick 34 for Kersten & Pick 42 for Hamling leaving our first two picks as 7 & 60. I know it's a strong draft but it's probably going to be dropping off by Pick 60.

I'd have thought either 34 for Kersten or 42 for Hamling would be a bargain. Both: an absolute steal.

In Kersten and Hambling you have two players who have been around for a number of years and you know what you'll get - two fringe players. On the other hand Logue has something. Take a chance, especially after the good deals done to get McCarthy and Hill.

He Captained Guildford Grammar to its first premiership in 50 years, played a good part of last season for the mighty Black & Whites and did very well at the Draft Combine.

There's a lot to like BUT, I hear he's allergic to East Coast Sunrises, convulses violently when made to wear anything Yellow and Blue and last time he ate Crow threw up for a week - just saying!!

So are you saying pick Griffin Logue at pick 7
?

He won't be there at our next pick

Prob not a pick 7 but with all those ailments I'd think taking him at pick 61 would work out about perfect :-)

Good luck to him - I do like the look of him a lot but unfortunately don't see us getting him. Pick 23 might have got him but doubt he'll be around beyond that at most.

Saints rumoured to be chasing L Weller. Would you trade Weller for Saints first round pick which could be used to get Logue ?

No. Weller is well on his way to becoming a star
Who's to say what will become of Logue or anyone else in the draft

Definitely not. Weller is a keeper. He's one of the reasons the Dockers don't have to take SPS with their first pick.
