That would have been a really good banner for Footscray. Western Bulldogs, on the other hand...

Is anyone here not on the Doggies bandwagon?

Thinking back to the 2013 GF, it seemed that almost every neutral footy fan was barracking for us (perhaps Eagles supporters aside). And rightly so. I reckon they got the idea for that banner the other week from the 2013 GF - Hawks fans vs the rest of the country.

I love the fact that the AFL wanted a Sydney derby GF, and they didn't get it

Good on the Dogs - let's not forget them graciously playing their part in Pav's last game - they were just the right opposition club to give that occasion what it deserved (and not just because they lost). Then they came back to Subi and pushed the Eagles over in fine style, then they did the whole of the footy world a favour and finally sent the Hawks packing.

I'm on their bandwagon. Go doggies! What a game that was.

Me too! I'm happily on the bandwagon. And their coach pays for breakfast for some of the travelling members! That is just awesome. A small gesture that would be priceless for the recipients.

Would our club do that? In the "bad old days" I can imagine they would, but nowadays I'm not so sure. We're so concerned with being perceived as oh so professional that we've forgotten about the heart and soul of the club and its supporters.

Best bit for me was how cocky the Giants upstarts were with their sledging only to not get the job done when it mattered. Cameron was one of the main culprits and for all he contributed during the game he might as well have sat in the stands.

How do you think Ross Lyon would regard Heath Shaw if he played at Freo?

I think he would be our captain.

I'd happily have him bringing the ball out of our back half.

I dont care how good he is. If he thinks he is leading by carrying on like that........

Shaw's schoolboy antics fired up the Bullies, and did not appear to go down well with his teammates, might be a reason he moved on from Victoria Park.

Love the Bulldogs and their effort for the year and hope they do win the Cup for their loyal supporters, but by the end of the week I am going to be absolutely fed up with Victorian commentators.
